Sometimes it's not easy to find the most basic level of help — even when you really need it. And for many individuals and families, that challenge includes finding an affordable place to live that is safe and meets the needs of its residents.
The good news: the Willow Grove Community Development Corporation might be able to lend you a hand. We’ve been helping low-to-moderate income individuals and families for more than two decades find comfortable, safe housing that they can rely on.
We have many applications on our waiting list, so it is important that you submit your application as soon as possible to qualify. To do that, all you have to do is go to the application link below and download an application.
Download the application here, and return the completed form to us. We accept applications by mail, email, fax, or at the office. If you are unable to access this application online, please call us and we will mail one to you. There is no charge to apply for housing at Willow Grove CDC. Please note that we do not offer emergency housing or shelter services.
Mailing address: Willow Grove CDC, PO Box 1097, 210 Cedar Avenue, Willow Grove, PA 19090
Office location: 210 Cedar Avenue, Willow Grove, PA 19090 (mail slot for after-hours drop-off)
Office phone: 215-657-3340
Complete the application as fully as you are able, and make sure to include income information and personal information for every member of your household. All household members over 18 must sign a release of information form in order to process the application. You do not need to supply proof of information at the time of the application, but will need to provide it before being offered housing.
Applications are reviewed to determine eligibility, and applicants are notified of their status by mail within a few weeks. Applicants whose income is too high or too low to meet eligibility requirements may reapply if their income changes. Applicants who qualify will be placed on a waiting list. As vacancies are projected, Willow Grove CDC may run credit reports, schedule an interview, and request further documentation (e.g. ID, proof of income, tax returns, etc.). There are few vacancies each year, so be advised that spending time on a waiting list is routine.
Please be sure to include all financial information on all members of the household.
Once we receive your application, we will verify your eligibility for our program, and you will receive a letter with the status of your application.
If you have any questions, please give us a call at 215-657-3340 today!
Note: We accept Housing Choice Vouchers (Section 8).
*You may also call — we will send you a paper application.
